Cloning is not only useful to keep the genes but also cost saving than other reproduction systems. It is also funny and cost-effective.

However, building a cloning machine is so easy that you can’t imagine. It requires no knowledge but some tools and ABC of using the required tools.
So, follow the steps described below and make an effective clone machine.
Required Materials of Making a Cloning Machine:
- 5-gallon bucket with lid (1 piece)
- 2-inch neoprene inserts (7 pieces)
- 2-inch net pots (7pieces)
- 1/2 –inch PVC pipe SCH-40 (3 feet)
- ½-inch PVC SCH-40 (1 Tee)
- Slip ½-inch PVC SCH-40 (2 Caps)
- Teflon Tape- Pipe Thread Sealer (1 Roll)
- PVC Pipe Cement (1 Can)
- Aqua 1300 Submersible Pond Pump (1 Piece)
- 90-degree ½-inch PVC Elbow SCH-40 (4 Slip)
- 18 Ez Clone Sprayers
- 1 Male Adaptor for ½-inch PVC (threaded male end and slip female end)
- Hacksaw or PVC pipe cutter
- 1-7/8 inches hole saw or 1-7/8 inch Forstner Bit
- Power Drill
- A ruler or a tape Measure (Compass)
- A sharp nail or a felt pen
- Razor Knife or a hand grinder
- ¾ inch long wood screw (10 pieces)
- Some shop towels
Steps on Making a Clone Machine
Making a clone machine is no longer a complicated task but the easiest as you follow the steps. Building the machine by following proper steps helps you get a machine that enables you to root plants within 5-6 days. The steps are healthy and 100% guaranteed to reproduce the plants. So, follow the steps to build your machine.
Measure & Cut the PVC
The perfection of anything depends on the accuracy of measurement and cut. So, cut some pieces of the following measurement from your 3-inch PVC pipe. Your cutter or saw will be great assistance on this issue. However, always try to cut shorter length rather than more extended parts. Short parts are easy to fit the bucket.
- 5 ¾-inch (2 pieces)
- 2 ½-inch (1 piece)
- 2 ¾ -inch (2 Pieces)
- 1 ¾ -inch (2 pieces)
Fit the parts
When all parts are cut accurately, try to fit them to check whether they are fit or not. It’ll also help you to be familiar with the pattern. However, after you get all the parts are accurate, get your glue and some rags. Now, put the glue on the pipe as well as on the inside of the fittings. Then join all the pipe into the fittings according to the design.
Make the holes
After joining the pipes into the fittings, you’ll get a whole set of the system. Now, take your making pen and mark out 17 holes about 1 ½ -inch apart. The holes will be used for the misters. Now, attach your 22 number drill bit to the drill motor. Drill the market points out to make a hole. Here’s a caution. Never go through the whole pipe.
Tap the hole
Once you make the holes, you have now tap the holes with a matching thread to the mister heads. Here, number 10 wood screw will work great as it has the same threads. Now, screw the number 10 wood screw into the drilled holes. However, never reach to the bottom when you screw the screw. If you want to be care-free, a ¾-inch screw will be perfect as it can’t reach to the bottom of the pipe.
Caution: wash all the plastic bits out from inside the pipe. Otherwise, it hinders the flow of the water.
Screw the Sprayers
Ow, it’s time to screw the EZ Clone sprayers into each hole. You may need to hold the sprayers strongly. However, try to go them into the hole and spin them. Then, wrap the male adaptor with a Teflon tape around the thread. It helps to make the bond strong.
Finish the Mister Base
Now, screw the mister base into your pump. The whole setting is alright to be used. Stick your setup into the 5-gallon empty bucket. Fit them well into the bucket. Now, pour a little water into the bucket to test the holes. Hope everything is OK.
Make Holes on the Lid
Making holes evenly on the lid requires special attention. In this article, you are instructed to make seven holes. But you can extend the number of holes as your wish. However, make a hole at the center of the lid. Then measure out 3 ½ -inch apart for all other holes. Now, use your Forstner Bit, or the Hole saw to drill out the holes.
Make a Hole to exit the Power Cord
After making the holes, you need a place to exit the power cord. So, take a razor knife or Dremel hand grinder to make a 3/4 x1/16 inch slice outside the edge of any hole. Now, cut the bottom half off the 2-inch net pots. It helps the root to get out quickly from the net pots.
Fill the Bucket with Water
After completing all the above steps successfully, fill the bucket with pure water. The water level shouldn’t sink the sprayers. Now, out the lid on the bucket and place neoprene inserts into the net pots. After that, place the assembled pots precisely in the lid.
