What does the Invoice Generator do?

An invoice is a request for payment that records what you supplied, when, and how much is owed. This free invoice generator gives you a clean template: enter your business and customer details, add line items, apply a discount or tax, choose a currency and download a polished PDF ready to email or print. It suits freelancers and small businesses that need a professional invoice without signing up for accounting software.

How to use the Invoice Generator

  1. Enter your business details and your customer’s details.
  2. Set an invoice number, issue date, due date and currency.
  3. Add a row for each product or service with its quantity and unit price.
  4. Add an optional discount, tax rate and notes such as payment terms or bank details.
  5. Check the live preview, then download the PDF or print it.

Invoice details are kept in this browser tab only. They are not uploaded, saved to an account or stored online, and the PDF is created on your device.

Frequently asked questions

Is this invoice generator really free?

Yes. There is no sign-up, watermark or limit on the number of invoices you can create.

Is my invoice saved anywhere?

No. Your details only exist in this browser tab. Download the PDF before closing the page — if you refresh, the form resets.

What should an invoice include?

At minimum: your details, the customer’s details, a unique invoice number, the issue date, a description of what you supplied, the amount due and payment terms. Some countries have extra requirements, such as a VAT number, so check your local rules.

Can I add tax or VAT?

Yes. Enter a tax rate as a percentage and it is applied to the subtotal after any discount. You can rename the tax label, for example to VAT or GST.

Why do some characters look different in the PDF?

The PDF uses standard built-in fonts so it stays small and works offline. These fonts cover Western European languages; for scripts such as Chinese, Arabic or Sinhala, use the Print option and save as PDF from your browser instead.
